It is lovely how we can find metaphors in daily life to help us understand ourselves. Here is an interesting one for you:
How does your garden grow?
Deeply buried garbage as well as deeply buried joy wells to the surface when we begin our healing process work. Garbage, in the form of mental conditioning and emotional programming, is usually the cause of the dis-ease we have in our lives.
We need to learn how to process our garbage, so it forms into compost that can then be made into fertile soil. The seeds of joy, that are our birthright, will then have a chance to grow to maturity. These seeds are buried deep within us and it is our job as the gardeners of our own lives to create the right environment for our gardens to flourish. Great courage, determination and tenacity, as well as compassion are required to resolve the conflicts that have arisen during our lifetimes. Once we know how to make compost we can be sure that the tending of our gardens is much less labour intensive.
Thoughts are seeds and they are planted in the subtle gardens of our souls. The fertile soil that we create for ourselves is capable of producing anything; any power, any accomplishment. All we have to have is the willingness to prepare the soil correctly. By keeping out the weeds of fear and doubt, and regularly composting our soil, we learn to become gardeners of the most beautiful garden on earth. This is how we create our own Garden of Eden!
